Christopher Wilde is a Hollywood's famous pop star who is been idolized by Sarah Olson (Maggie Castle. She is a big fan of Christopher and also Jessica's sister. Jessica Olson (Danielle Campbell) is just a Michigan ordinary girl and absolutely not crazy about Christopher like her sister does.
How do they meet each other? Well, the Olson go to Hollywood to visit their grandmother. Sarah really excited that she can meet Christopher... she knew all the places Christopher like to go... Malibu Beach (surf), Pink's (eat), Rodeo (shop), and 21 Club (party)....
First night at Hollywood, Sarah get a call from her friend and was told that Christopher will singing at his girlfriend's birthday party, Alexis Bender ( Chelsea Staub)... So, Sarah convinces Jessica to go with her and promise that she'll stop talking about Christopher. Jessica wait all night in the car when Sarah go to the party... Get bored, Jessica decide to get in from the club's back door to find her sister... At the same time, Christopher is in a rush to go home, also use the back door where his friend Stubby ( Brandon Mychal Smith) will pick him up. And what's happen next is... Jessica is hit by the door when Christopher open it.
Christopher takes her to hospital and then go to his house so he can make an appearance for the film director, Alan who wants to put him in his movie. After that, he takes Jessica back to her grandma's house but he stays at the garage for the night in order to avoid the paparazzi.
In the next day, Sarah brings Jessica to Malibu Beach in the hope of meeting Christopher there. And yes, while her sister goes sunbathing... Jessica recognize his disguise and sit next to him. Once again, they are forced to get out the beach when paparazzi arrive. After they get away, Christopher be Jess' tour guide and shows her around Los Angeles. When they want to return to Malibu, they are followed again by paparazzi. To avoid them, they driving off the main road and ended in a mud pool.
When they finally return to the beach, Christopher says that Jess is an amazing girl. But, and then he says that they must end their relationship and doesn't want to anybody knows what happen between them that day. He say that he is Christopher Wilde and Jess just an ordinary girl and paparazzi will ruin her life if they know. It breaks Jess' heart. Furthermore, after she gets home to Michigan, paparazzi already found out about her and they're waiting in front of her house. After that, she watches Christopher tells at talk show that he never met a girl named Jessica Olson.

Angry with the way paparazzi forced him to lie, she confronts them. This is what she says:
Infotainment : "Tell us about your weekend with Christopher Wilde. We only want the truth.
Jessica: "You don't want the truth. You want a story. You take a good normal person and turn him into your own little reality show. You build him up into a big celebrity just so you can tear him down in public. Just so you can sell magazines and TV shows? That's really sick. And Christopher Wilde is just one example. He is talented and successful. He has all the stuff lots of kids dream of having. But thanks to you, he's had to give up some of the best things in life.Freedom.Privacy.Honesty. So, congratulations, you've created a celebrity. But you have wrecked the human being inside. You should be ashamed of yourselves."
Christopher and Stubby watch this interview. Christopher says: "I didn't have a choice". Stubby convinces him to start making his own choices." Your life, your choice. What do you want?" So, Christopher goes to Michigan and shows at Sarah and Jessica's school dance party. He sings a songs, asks for apologize and a real date. Then, Jessica smiles and accepts his apologize and the date.

Yah, memang pers, paparazzi, infotainment thu maksa banget dan terlalu mencampuri urusan selebriti. Klo dibilang "no comment", pasti maksa...nyodok2in kamera dan mic ke selebriti. Jadi, harusnya jangan heran klo tiba2 mereka marah,jutek,bentak,atau mungkin merusak. Selebriti jg manusia... pasti capek lah lama2 klo digituin mulu. Kan yang bikin rusak justru pers sendiri krn tll maksa bgt. Karena pers, paparazzi suka terlalu melebih2kan. Ga heran kadang selebriti diem aja, senyum aja klo di tanya bahkan ya berbohong. Pers, Paparazzi, Infotainment, menurut gw, sedikit banyak juga ikut ambil andil ngebuat moral selebriti turun. Ya kira2 inilah kurang lebih mungkin uneg2 selebriti... Sesekali ambillah posisi selebriti, jangan terus2an berada di posisi pers. Begitu pula sebaliknya....
